Technical Business Analyst

As a Technical Business Analyst, you will collaborate with both internal and external key stockholders and technical team. Your main role is to capture business requirements and contexts, write user stories, design and specify system requirements and features so that both business team and technical team can align to each other and estimates to get their work done.

1. Requirement Definition:

  • Works with product team and multiple stakeholders to understand, analyse, document and communicate business requirements
  • Works with product team and technical team to define user story, features, backlog, and prioritize them
  • Develops design, specification, and validation scenarios for each requirement

2. Planning & Engagement:

  • Collaborates with key stakeholders across business teams and technical team to complete the required artefacts and capture necessary inputs
  • Shared accountability with product team and technical team to help refine the backlog and estimations at the planning phase
  • Proactive around risks, issues, blockers and raises them as soon as possible
  • Constantly looks for opportunities to improve the overall process
  • Available to the team to answer questions relating to product requirements, and works with the team to breakdown stories and translate business requirements to technical requirements

3. Other accountabilities

  • Involvement in system testing, demonstration, training, and support activities of the product lifecycle management.
  • Coordination in integration projects with external partners
  • Documentation organization and management
Must have
  • Having 2+ years’ work experience as a Technical Business Analyst
  • Strong project experience and methodologies (e.g. Agile, Scrum) in business environment
  • Advanced skills in business modelling, drawing business and technical flows/diagrams
  • Good skill in requirement analysis & documentation with a high-level focus on details
  • Working knowledge of technical concepts (e.g. web, app, user interfaces, API, databases, system integration) and dealing with technical stakeholders
  • Hands-on experience in influencing and collaborating with stakeholders such as operation team, product team, technical team
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills, with detail-oriented mindset
  • Good English communication skills (both verbal & written) and strong presentation capabilities
  • Preferable about data analyst experience, or working experience with projects related to ecommerce or ERP
  • Experience or knowledge of BABOK® Knowledge Areas
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in IT, Business, Computer Science, or related area
  • Programming skills, Data analysis skills
  • Knowledge in the UI/UX, ability to create mock-ups /wireframes/prototypes, etc.
